I couldn't find this anywhere else, but apparently Carl Macek, who directed the dubbed Hokuto no Ken 1986 movie and also voiced Fox, died in April 2010 of a heart-attack, aged 58.

His work has often been a talking point for anime fans, but I'll always be grateful for the HNK dub and the classic one-liners. RIP.

So, he's the guy who did the voice of Kenshiro in the movie's dub?

Then my favorite line of his is: "Say goodbye, lardass! Coz you're already dead!"

No, no. John Vickery voiced Kenshiro. Like I said, Carl Macek directed the dub and also voiced Fox.

Macek must have directed loads of those "manga entertainment" label dubs I used to see during the 90's.

Carl Macek is probably best known as the creator of Robotech.
